Nanyang athlete Cheng Mengyin and her teammates won the women's lightweight quadruple sculling championship at the third stop of the 2019 Rowing World Cup held in Rotterdam of the Netherlands on July 13.

Cheng is also the third Rowing World Cup champion from Nanyang after Xie Zhiying and Li Jieya, who won their championship in Munich, Germany in 2009.

The 2019 Rowing World Cup was divided into three stops, the first in Provdiv in Bulgaria, the second in Poznan in Poland and the third in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Cheng and her teammates will now represent China in the 2009 World Rowing Championships in Linz, Austria, in September.
