The second China Quju Arts Festival Organizing Committee finalized the arrangements of related activities during the festival on Aug 30.
According to reports, the festival includes the following main activities:
Sept 6 14:30: Opening ceremony - a grand concert at the playground of Ruzhou No.2 Senior High School.
Sept 7 to 8: Quju excellent repertoire performances. Five provincial or municipal theaters will be invited to perform at the square of Ruzhou Railway Station, Rudong Building Materials Market, the square of Ruzhou Theatre, the garden of Ruzhou Trade Unions, and Runan Office.
Sept 8: Morning: Investment Attraction Trade Fair at the Tianrui Zhongzhou International Hotel.
Afternoon: Forum on China Quju Art Development, organized by the Chinese Opera Research Institute under Chinese National Academy of Arts, Theory Research Office under China Theater Association and other originations at China Hall of Tianrui Zhongzhou International Hotel. Well-known theorists, artists of Chinese opera circle and celebrities of literary and art circles from Beijing, Shanghai, Anhui, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Taiwan and other brother provinces or cities will be invited to write articles on innovation theory on such topics as how to inherit Quju amidst modern civilization, and how to improve the art's manifestation etc., and to carry out academic seminars and decide on relevant awards.
Sept 7 to 8: Assessment and award presentation of the "Contemporary Chinese Quju Artist".
This year's festival will also select from candidates for the titles of the "Most Promising Quju Rookie", "Contemporary Quju Star (Famous Dan Actor)", "Contemporary Quju Artist", "Quju Artist of Lifetime Achievement" and so on.
