No.3 unit of Shuibuya HPP put into service 4 months ahead of schedule

No. 3 unit of Shuibuya HPP was put into service at 18:08 on March 3, 2008, 125 days ahead of contractual schedule, which makes earlier power generation of Shuibuya HPP in whole feasible.

Locating upstream of Qing River, Shuibuya HPP is the top HPP in the hydroelectric development of Qing River with total installed capacity of 1840MW and annual power generation of 3.9billion KWh. CGGC is responsible for installation and commissioning of all turbo-generator units and public services of the station.
There are three HPP, i.e. Shuibuya HPP, Geheyan HPP and Gaobazhou HPP planned upstream to downstream along the Qing river, the largest inland river in Hubei Province. Geheyan HPP and Gaobazhou HPP contracted by CGGC were completed and put into operation in 1994 and 2000. Shuibuya HPP is expected to be completed in 2009.
