Brief Introduction: The establishment of Gedian Economic & Technological Development Zone was approved by the Hubei Provincial Government in 1990. Hubei Hi-tech Development Zone and China Ezhou Postdoctoral Researcher Base have been set up there. It is 22km away from Wuhan, located in the middle part of Changjiang River. Yihuang Wujiu Railway, Highway and No. 316 National Road cross through the development zone. Baihushan Foreign Trade Port lies to the west of the development, which allows for direct shipment to Hong Kong, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The Ezhou Power Station and a water plant have been built in the zone.
