The town of Jiangbei occupies a 175-square-kilometer area in southeastern Changsha county, with the city of Liuyang to the east, south and north and the Liuyang River on its southern side.

The Industrial Park has a planned area of 3.17 sq km in a good environment and is home to 31 companies and 3,000 people.

It focuses on auto parts and new building materials and already has some famous companies, such as Tongxin International and Yinshan Building Materials. The park has no natural gas piping, so this project is expected to increase the natural gas supply of Jiangbei to meet the clean energy demands of rapid urban development while protecting the environment.

The project will cost 30 million yuan, mainly for the pipeline and building installation, with 35 kilometers of piping for the first phase and 65 km for the second, to supply 7,300 households with 500,000 cubic meters of gas, in the first phase, accounting for 18.4 percent of the total.

There will be 125,000 cu m of gas for commercial use annually and 1.95 million for industry. The project will ultimately cover 15,000 households, with 5 million cu m, and 1.84 million for commercial use and 3.16 million for industry.

The project has been approved and park management are making the preparations. Project managers are looking for natural gas pipeline suppliers, and someone to design the facility, supply gas appliances and provide after-sales service. There are Changsha county government and Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone preferential policies for the infrastructure with a sole proprietor or joint capital agreement.
