The seventh Kunshan International Hiking Festival will start on May 4 at the Citizen Culture Square in Kunshan, Suzhou city.

Lasting from April 20 - 25, healthy people under 70 can sign up for the event with valid id at community committees or through the official festival website.

The organizer plans to invite 40,000 citizens to the event to promote “fitness for all.” All participants need to arrive at designated starting points before 7 am on May 4 and will start the run at 8 am.

Five starting points for the hike have been set at four locations in the city’s urban area as well as Citizen Culture Square in the center, the main site for the festival. Participants need to walk at least 8 kilometers that day to finish one route and reach the finish line at Kunshan City Sports Center.

The participants will find five stops for breaks en route and two sites to get seals to finish the full length. They can get on shuttles at the finish line and return to the five starting points for free before 2 pm that day.
