Zhouzhuang, an old town in Jiangsu province, put on an impressive three-part cheongsam show on the Twin Bridge, on April 26, to display the garment's culture with each part having its own particular theme.

The "Spring Water" part, a more youthful offering, showed the vigor and vitality of spring through fashion and fresh colors, while the "Spring Moon" part suggested romance and sweet love through colors and his-and-her clothing, and the "Spring Flower" part expressed the beauty of spring and people's happiness through bright, variegated colors.

The uniquely Chinese style of clothing known as the cheongsam has undergone a social and cultural shift over the years and has changed a great deal in its neckline, sleeves and side slit. Today's cheongsam has incorporated a number of fashion elements and a leisurely style to make it a new summer fashion.
