Ficus virens (white figs) are planted all over the village. The tree can live for more than 100 years, often resulting in far-reaching twisted branches able to offer respite from the baking summer sun.

Rattlesnake ferns creep out of the cracks of stone paving in the village and wild flowers flaunt their bright yellow petals along winding paths. Green mosses and vines cover the walls of farmers' houses.
