The trademarks of some 14 companies in Nantong, Jiangsu province, received recognition as "Chinese Famous Trademark" on Oct 10, taking the total number of the city's famous trademarks to 57.
The surge in the number results from the local government's efforts to improve the competitiveness of local companies and facilitate their transformation and upgrading by strictly controlling trademark registration and enhancing trademark protection and management.
The business scope of these 14 companies involves textiles, clothing, sports equipment, agricultural products, steel and construction.
