The launch ceremony of the Upgraded Wuxi English New Media Platform was held in Wuxi Hi-tech district on Dec 20.

Sponsored by the China Daily Website and the Publicity Department of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, China Daily Multimedia Wuxi Company will provide comprehensive publicity services to promote Wuxi all over the world.

A total of five English websites have been built in Wuxi by the China Daily Website -- Wuxi (www.wuxinews.com.cn), Wuxi New District (www.wndonline.gov.cn), Wuxi Binhu District (jiangsu.chinadaily.com.cn/binhu), Invest in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (www.bizwnd.com), and the World Internet of Things (en.wiotexpo.cn).

The Wuxi English website has published 2,000 articles, 25 videos and 19 specials since 2015, attracting over three million visits.

Thanks to great pictures, videos and various offline activities, over 260,000 fans now follow the official account of Wuxi on Facebook and Twitter for news, tourism resources, and local conditions and customs in Wuxi.

Cai Wenyu, deputy director of the Wuxi government publicity department, awarded Wuxi’s top 10 fans among Facebook and Twitter followers and announced the list of correspondents of the Wuxi English New Media Platform.

The Wuxi English New Media Platform is bound to be a publicity engine for Wuxi with the participation of fans and correspondents from around the world.
