An international sailing training camp kicked off on Monday in Qingdao, east China's Shandong province, attracting more than 300 teenagers from nine countries and regions.

The training camp will last from August 16 to 22. Apart from learning sailing skills, the participants will also have a chance to communicate with some sailing world champions and watch the Qingdao International OP Class Invitational Tournament Sunday.

Qingdao, a coastal city about 360 kilometers east of Jinan, capital of Shandong, was the venue for the sailing competitions of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.
