Asia's largest deep-sea oil and gas platform, the Liwan 3-1, was recently completed after 21 months of construction in the Qingdao's Huangdao Economic Development Zone. Based on China's independently developed technologies, the platform was built by Marine Oil Engineering Qingdao and will be delivered to an offshore oil and natural gas site in the South China Sea in early May.
