The largest shopping mall in Jiading New City, the Jiading IMIX Park, will open to the public by the end of this year, the Everbright Ashmore Investment announced on May 8.
Zhou Songming, vice-president of Everbright Ashmore, forecast that 85 percent of the shopping mall will be leased when it opens.
With a total construction area of 126,400 square meters, the 7-storey shopping mall is expected to house more than 200 brands, including Starbucks, Watsons, H&M, TESCO, Lumiere Pavilions and others.
The IMIX Park, launched by Everbright Ashmore together with T&C Asset Management Consultant Ltd and Jiabao Group, will be the largest of the four commercial complexes under construction in Jiading New City.
Everbright Ashmore Real Estate Investment Consultancy Co Ltd, the property investment arm of Hong Kong-based China Everbright Ltd, has targeted residential and commercial property market in second and third-tier cities of China. In 2010, it built the first IMIX Park in Chongqing Municipality, southeastern China, which had a rental income of more than 100 million yuan ($16 million) last year.
Now the company manages eight projects with about 15 billion yuan of assets, and it is expected that it will manage more than 25 projects worth about 50 billion yuan by 2020.
