The Shanghai Taishixing Household Products Co has moved in Jiading Export Processing Zone of Shanghai and started the construction of its factories recently, local media reported on Jan 13.
With a planned floor area of nearly 745,000 square meters, the construction project is expected to be completed in 2017. The project also includes warehousing facilities. When the facilities are put into use, they will help improve the storage capacity for local cross-border e-commerce industry.
Established in 1996, Taishixing specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of children products and exercise equipment. With the help of top R&D and marketing teams, its products are of high quality and have been sold in 22 overseas countries and regions.
Officials said that, bringing in the company was part of local authorities' efforts to attract leading manufacturers and suppliers. Currently, the Jiading Export Processing Zone has a total of 11 such companies.
The authorities said that they will do more to develop its modern service sector, which features bonded warehousing, R&D, cross-border e-commerce, exhibitions and trade.
