Jiading Museum of Shanghai launched a series of events to mark International Museum Day, which falls on May 18 every year, local media reported.
The events featured parent-child activities. The activities were entertaining and educational, featuring treasure restorations, treasure hunts and explorations of painting secrets.
The organizers hoped local citizens could gain a better understanding of Jiading's culture and history through such events.
International Museum Day is an annual event launched by the International Council of Museums, aiming to raise public awareness of the importance of museums. On the day, museums all over the world will put on various celebration activities.
