A robotic project with a total investment of 50 million yuan ($7 million) was signed into effect online by Siasun Robot Technology and Industry Company and the Jiading government, local media reported on March 21.
The company plans to set up an intelligent industrial cluster for modern robotics in Jiading which will offer robot-making companies services such as research and development, innovation and entrepreneurship, education and training, and is expected to expedite the transformation of traditional industries.
After it is put into operation, the robotic project is estimated to have an annual output value of 1 billion yuan and generate annual tax revenue of about 30 million yuan. According to local media reports, the new project is expected to bring huge social and economic benefits to Jiading, accelerate the development of the digital economy, and promote the Industry 4.0 revolution.
