A vehicle-mounted intelligent computed tomography (CT) machine developed by United Imaging, a Jiading-based advanced medical product company, recently began being used at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The machine is capable of providing COVID-19 patients with imaging exams at any time or place.
The machine is now set up outside the center and has been effective in relieving pressure on medical treatment and preventing cross-infection.
It is also equipped with a high-end hardware platform that, through the use of ultra-thin layers and high-resolution imaging matrixes, can help doctors examine small lesions and identify suspected patients.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, United Imaging has donated a total of 100 million yuan ($14.1 million) in CT devices and related services to the frontlines. Over 100 imaging experts from the company have also offered free online consultations to people throughout China, helping them with initial assessments.
