Representatives?of a total of 62 foreign invested projects signed agreements with the municipal government of Shanghai on Jan 15, among which five will be launched in Jiadingdistrict, according to a local news report.

The total investment value of the five projects amounted to 3.8 billion yuan ($588.61 million), covering industries like automobile manufacturing, cloud computing, environmental protection, food, and real estate.

Treves Sas (China) Investment Cooperation, invested in by France-based Treves Sas, which specializes in manufacturing professional lighting acoustics?facilities, owns 22 factories in 16 countries.

Shanghai Jingrui Network Technology Company, funded by Hong Kong's Hotwon Network Technology Limited, which has a total investment of $80 million, specializes in services like information infrastructure, network communications, and cloud computing.

Qinghuan Environmental Protection Technology (Shanghai) Company, a Sino-South?Korean?joint?venture?based in Jiading's Huating town, mainly offers technical services related to environmental protection, including technological development and technology consulting. The company in Huating is expected to generate an annual output value of 750 million yuan ($116.26 million) after being put into operation.

Shanghai New Tohkin Food Company, which was established in Jiading in 2001, is one of the country's three largest suppliers of food additives and raw materials. It will set up an operation center in Jiading for the research and development of food.

Shanghai San-sum Group announced at the signing ceremony that it will construct its headquarters building in Jiading, aiming to meet the demands of the growing business.
