The first Beautiful China Research Institute---- Beautiful China Research Institute of Sichuan University officially released the Beautiful China Provinces Construction Level Research Report 2013 and the Beautiful China Provincial Capitals and Sub-provincial Cities Construction Level Research Report 2013.

On the basis of the optimization of index system on the basis of 2012, the Beautiful China Evaluation Research Group launched the series of annual report for the second time .

The Beautiful China Research Institute calculates the comprehensive construction level index of the 31 cities evaluated in 2012. On the basis of the index system 2012, the Beautiful China Research Institute optimizes Beautiful China provinces construction evaluation index system, increases the weighting of ecological civilization construction, increases the indicators which reflect ecological background, ecological civilization system, environmental governance, environmental friendly and evaluates Beautiful China provinces construction level with rigid data.

According to the Beautiful China Provinces Construction Level Research Report 2013, by measure of comprehensive index, the top 10 cities or provinces are as following :Beijing, Zhejiang province, Jiangsu Province, Sichuan province, Fujian province, Shanxi province,Yun'nan province, Anhui province, Shandong province and Shanghai. Shanghai, Shandong province and Anhui province are the new city and provinces on the list.

According to the Beautiful China Provincial Capitals and Sub-provincial Cities Construction Level Research Report 2013, by measure of comprehensive index, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Ningbo, Dalian, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Kunming are the top 10 cities.Compared with the report last year, Kunming is on the top 10 city for the 1st time.

In addition, the reports make single rankings according to ecological construction, economic construction, political construction, cultural construction and social construction.
