On February 14, when Valentine’s Day meets the traditional Lantern Festival, Chenshan Botanical Garden will hold a romantic Lantern Festival and Valentine’s Day party.

When night falls, all the LED lights in the largest exhibition green house in Asia will turn on, creating a romantic atmosphere to appreciate the plants and share love.

Theme: Romantic Lantern Festival and Valentine’s Day

Time: February 14, 2014; 3:30pm-7:30pm

Venue: The exhibition greenhouse of Chenshan Botanical Garden

Participants: Families with members born after the 70s or 80s (each up to five people, including children between 5 and 16 years old)

Number of families: Ten

Charge: Free of charge

Registration Deadline: February 12

Contents:

1. Lantern Riddle Guessing (all visitors can participate) Nearly 100 lanterns with riddles will be in the greenhouse, and visitors with the right answers can get a special prize in the Tourist Service Center at Gate 2.

2. Plant Exploration (3:30pm-5:00pm) Each family will be handed a list of tasks. The first five families to finish their tasks can win a prize.

3. Contest for Tacit Understanding (5:00pm-5:30pm) Family members will use their tacit understanding to guess what other members’ gestures mean. The winning family will get a prize.

4. Family Q&A (5:30pm-6:00pm) Questions will be asked to test how well the family members know each other. A prize will also be offered to the winning family.

5. Say Your Love (6:00pm-6:30pm) This is the time for couples to share their wedding photos or family videos and for kids to share their love for their parents.

6. Romantic Candlelit Dinner (6:30pm-7:30pm)
