An investment promotion at the recent 2nd China (Jincheng) Taihang Mountain International Cultural Tourism Festival, in the city of Jincheng, Shanxi province, saw several dozen agreements signed involving 80.2 billion yuan ($13.1 billion) in investment, according to a press conference, on July 20.
Three of these projects are worth more than 5 billion yuan and a total investment of 37.2 billion yuan for many areas, including industry, agriculture, the service industry, tourism, infrastructure, and social undertakings. Overall, the projects are non-resource oriented and cover new energy and new materials, modern services, cultural tourism, and modern agriculture.
Two projects -- Yangcheng county's Kunlunqiuyuan ancient culture and Qinshui CBM -- are well above 10 billion yuan and account for 40 percent of the total investment. The 2nd China (Jincheng) Taihang Mountain International Cultural Tourism Festival is sponsored by the Shanxi provincial and Jincheng city governments with the idea of helping culture and tourism development. It had four major activities -- Taihang Mountain Culture and Arts, Qizi Mountain International Weiqi Culturel, Beautiful Jincheng Tourism and Culture Festival, and the investment promotion.
