A "Leisure Tour of Beautiful Shanxi" promotional activity, in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, on Aug 19 has resulted in the signing of agreements, according to Feng Jianping, the head of the Shanxi provincial tourism bureau, who explained that Henen and Shanxi provinces complement each other and that he hopes they can increase cooperation by promoting each other’s tourism businesses.

The two tourism bureaus signed a strategic cooperation agreement where they agreed to support each other's tourism business and develop tourism resources. The activity also had a film on Shanxi's tourism possibilities and promotional displays on Shanxi cities.

The "Leisure Tour of Beautiful Shanxi" activity started in May 2013, with various approaches, introducing discount tickets and classic tourism routes and other offerings.
