A trade center in Jinzhong attracted business representatives attending the Zhisland Shanxi Culture and Tourism Summit in Taiyuan on Nov 26.
The center established a partnership with the Shanxi branch of Zhisland, a top O2O social networking platform for entrepreneurs in China, during the summit. The two will help Shanxi companies and business groups seek more international trade and investment opportunities.
Jinzhong World Trade Center (WTC), founded in December 2015, is the only world trade center that was approved by the World Trade Center Association in Shanxi province. It has been committed to advancing the internationalization of Shanxi businesses and promoting foreign trade in Shanxi since its establishment.
"In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, we intend to let more Shanxi merchants expand into overseas markets, and boost trade and investment in the province," said Wang Diansheng, chairman of Jinzhong WTC, speaking to attendees at the summit.
Currently, the center provides various services for local companies, such as organizing exhibitions, holding job fairs for enrolling professionals and establishing platforms to further international cooperation.
It will later establish a database which will collect information on more than 5,000 companies across Shanxi and nearby provinces, and connect the database with some 300 world trade centers all around the globe to facilitate international trade and investment communication.
With the participation of Zhisland, the center will introduce the latest commercial information and potential partners to local businesses through the platform, according to their records input into the database, including intended exports and technology they expect to import.
