Shanxi officials held a meeting with the government of Brest Region, Belarus on July 9 in the country's capital, Minsk, to facilitate the economic partnership between the two parties.
The culture and competitive industries of Shanxi, such as the tourism and mining sectors, were promoted at the meeting to advance economic and trade collaboration between Shanxi companies and countries and regions along the Belt and Road.
Shanxi has been furthering its industrial transformation and opening up in recent years, which brings great potential for cooperation between businesses of the Brest Region and Shanxi.
Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Shanxi) signed an agreement with Belarus Railway Equipment Co, a joint venture of CRRC Datong and China National Electric Import & Export Co after the meeting, and founded CCPIT Shanxi’s representative office in Belarus.
