The Federation of Shanxi Modern Construction Industry was founded in Taiyuan, Shanxi province on May 17.
Five companies and institutes, including Shanxi Construction Investment Group and the Institute of Shanxi Architecture Design and Research, launched the federation to further communication between government and the construction industry, as well as promote ecofriendly practices.
The federation now has 35 members including production, construction and construction materials companies, as well as scientific research institutes and design businesses. It will carry out research on prefabricated construction technologies to advance modernization of the local construction industry.
