This bridge has three arched towers leaning along the surface of the bridge, which is 1,320 meters long and 42.5 meters wide, to represent three prosperous periods in Datong history, the Northern Wei (AD 386-534), Liao (916-1125), and Jin (1115-1234) dynasties. They are three historical peaks in culture and arts, so it will be like walking through a tunnel of time on the bridge. It is also another shortcut between the old and new towns.
