Seven new industry zones in Datong
New chemical industrial zone
Reinforcing strategic cooperation with China Chemical Industry Group, focusing on the development of new chemical materials such as neoprene and TDI to enhance the overall level of Shanxi chemical industry and put forward the construction of the provincial coal chemical projects.
Steel pipe industry zone
Authorities will promote the strategic restructuring of TISCO and Datong steel, and build an iron and steel base in northern Shanxi.
Modern service industry zone
The government plans to introduce high-end services flagship enterprises such as Outlets and South China City relying on its cultural tourism industry.
It will speed up the development of regional business malls and the high- and mid-star hotels to create a modern service center in Shanxi, Hebei and Inner Mongolia regions.
