Datong Tent Music Festival
The Datong Tent Music Festival and Wulongxia Camping Fair will be open on August 2 and 3 at the Wulongxia Eco-Tourism Resort in the Sanggan River basalt valley, Datong, Northern China's Shanxi province. The festival will feature rock concerts in the hopes of surpassing last year's events. Besides camping and concerts, there will be a variety of outdoor activities creating a cluster of regional tourist attractions to bring visitors from all around China.

Last year, Datong's government incorporated the tent music festival into the city's famous Yungang Tourism Festival for the first time, offering its visitors a new outdoor experience. The first tent festival attracted more than 50 outdoor-activity clubs from around the country. As part of the festivities, about 3000 visitors cycled from the city center to the highway surrounding the volcano clusters at the Datong Volcano Geographic Park.

The music festival would be impossible without Datong's rich cultural and touristic resources. Tourists can hike the Great Wall, mountain climb, camp in the prairies, visit the historical "Tea Road" of Shanxi merchants and tour ancient villages.
The festival will turn the volcano park into a carnival for music lovers. A real-life Counter-Strike game, bike rides, bonfires and a film screening will also be held.

Admission by ticket only. Children under 1.2 meters have free entry.
The camping site has drinking water and washing facilities, portable toilets, emergency medical care and a security station.
To prevent fire, cook at a safe distance from tents and other combustibles.

Self-driving/cycling route
From Datong's Nanhuan Bridge, move eastward, passing the airport-Datong county-109 National Highway-Xubao Village. After reaching the Wulongxia Eco-Tourism Resort sign, turn south and follow road signs to the music festival.
