Fair promotes agricultural produce and services

A trade fair exhibiting and selling high-quality agricultural products opened in Pingyao on March 15.

The fair, with a theme of technological innovation, environmental protection and cooperation, targeted local farmers and agricultural companies.

"The event aims to connect farmers as a community of shared interests and provide a cooperation and communication platform for businesses producing agricultural products, changing their previous styles of production and operation," said Li Changhai, an official of the county.

Agricultural technicians were invited to deliver lectures during the three-day event to help local farmers improve their crop management techniques.

More than 100 companies took part in the fair, displaying agricultural machinery, fertilizer and seeds. Some exhibitors offered preferential activities to attract more potential buyers, such as Xincun Supply and Marketing Cooperative sending red envelopes containing money to visitors who scanned its QR code.
