Zhou Qiang

President and chief justice of the Supreme People's Court

Zhou was born in April 1960, in Huangmei county, Hubei province. He studied civil law at the Southwest University of Political Science Law and has a master’s degree in law.

He began his career in August 1976 and joined the Communist Party in September 1978. He is a member of the 18th Party Central Committee, and the Party secretary, president, and chief justice of the Supreme People's Court. He was also a member of the 16th, 17th and 18th Party central committees, and a Standing Committee member of the 9th National People's Congress.
