This is responsible for Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan; foreign civil and commercial cases; maritime affair cases of first and second instance involving disputes over intellectual rights; examining trials of cases involving Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and foreign civil and commercial affairs and maritime affairs where the defendant challenges a judgment or ruling by a lower people's court; and for giving guidance to trials.
