The world's largest container ship –"Mayview Maersk"– has made its maiden voyage to Tianjin Port.
"Mayview Maersk", the world's largest and most advanced 3E grade 18,000 TEU container ship was successful berthing alongside the Tianjin Port Pacific International Container terminal on July 25.
This is the first voyage of "Mayview Maersk" for commercial operations since it was launched on July 17 from Pusan, Korea, and is also the largest container ship Tianjin Port has ever received.
It shows that Tianjin Port’s container ship handling capacity has been successfully upgraded to a new stage, and also has solidified its container hub port position in the north of China.
Maersk Line is the world's largest container shipping company. Currently, the company has nearly 600 container vessels, the total capacity of which is more than 2.7 million TEUs.
