Tianjin Port Holdings Co and Tianjin Binhai International Airport have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The airport is going to build a terminal building in Tianjin Port. In addition, both sides are trying to launch tourism products featuring sea air combined transportation.
Tianjin Port and the airport are going to establish a mechanism of information sharing, integrated emergency management and timely communication. Moreover, an information exchange platform is going to be built to gather information and resources of logistics, agents, enterprises, vessels and airlines.
Through constructing a remote terminal building, Tianjin Port is able to launch logistic integration services and realize sea air combined transportation and transferring of passengers and cargo. Ground transportation such as buses will be fully coordinated between the port and airport.
Sea air combined transportation in succession with air rail combined transportation has fully utilized the supplemental advantages of the port and the airport. By mutually pushing forward the launch of tourism products featuring sea air combined transportation, both sides can realize the cooperation of airlines and cruise companies.
Furthermore, the cooperation will serve to establish a fast pass for tourists from the hinterland in the west to enjoy cruise trips and will also drive the development of the integrated customs clearance of sea air combined transportation.
