"Through bus" joins up Three Gorges, Shenlongjia and Mount Wudang

On May 8, the Yichang Transportation Group put into operation a line of coaches and buses to Three Gorges Dam scenic area. This was done to make it easier for Wuhan tourists to get to Shenongjia, Mount Wudang and the Three Gorges when they go to Yichang.

Yangtze River, Mount Wudang and Shennongjia are the essence of Hubei tourism and the core tourism products in ecological and cultural tourism in western Hubei. Except for travel service tour groups and self-driving tourists, self-guided tourists will meet traffic problems if they want to cover the three destinations in one tour. Yichang is 200 kilometers away from Shennongjia, and 400 kilometers away from Mount Wudang.

Through buses from Shennongjia to Mount Wudang leave the Yichang long-distance passenger station at 07:45 each day. It costs 100 yuan for a person to travel, to and fro, between Yichang and Shennongjia in through buses. The main scenic spots include the Shennong summit, Shennong cave, Shenongjia nature reserve, Shennong altar, and Tianshengqiao scenic area (tourists may select the scenic spots).

It takes 180 yuan per person to travel, to and fro, between Yichang and Mount Wudang in the through buses. The main scenic spots include Zixiao Palace, Tianzhu Summit, Gold Hall, Taizi Slope, and Feisheng Cliff. There are nine through buses between Yichang and the Three Gorges dam scenic spot each day, priced at 12 yuan per person.
