A 3D bio-printing innovation center will be set up in the high-tech zone in Kunming city, Yunnan province to develop the local health industry, according to a forum on Kunming health care development on May 26, the Spring City Evening News reported.

Kang Yujian, chief scientist of Sichuan Revotek Co., suggests that the 3D printer will be capable of printing medical mannequins, medical training aids, and body organs such as hearts.

The innovation center will consist of a medical imagery service center and the 3D bio-printing center for research in TCM, toxic substance principles and regional health.
