Use law to maintain order

Comment on "Singer couple's teenage son involved in beating" (China Daily website, Sept 8)

I despise the young men who beat up the couple. But such behavior is not a problem in China alone.

In Germany, too, we have such issues, with young people beating up others. They come from various social backgrounds: they are from lower class as well as middle and upper class homes. It is a problem all around the world.

There are even grown-ups who beat up others only because some people driving "slowly" on roads, or because of other minor traffic problems. Such behavior should be punished according to the law to maintain social orders.
