Yes there are some pretty misbehaved Chinese tourists but I believe they are overrepresented in media. As usual the 10% bad apples give a bad image of the 90% good apples.
I believe the reason is because going abroad for tourism really took off recently in China and some of the tourists may not be used to rules and regulations in foreign countries.
