I also had a "naked" marriage – 47 years ago in Britain. Women were not equal to men in those days – women's wages were about half of what men earned back then. Most of our friends also had "naked" marriages and many, like me, are still married to that partner. My parents had a "naked" marriage and are still together after 67 years. We started with nothing and worked and saved. I was married for nine years and had two children before we were able to buy a small house. I am all for "naked" marriage!
