I think parents should tell their children about their past. Even if there is an impassable generation gap, causing your children to get bored or not understanding you. My mom and dad always put something into my ears like "what had happened in their day, and how miserable the life was, and leave a caution to me that I should count my blessings, I should be pleased to what I have now, never complain about life again."
