I have a daughter who is 25 and living at home. She actually boomeranged. She lived with us right out of college, was lucky enough to find a really good contract job and was able to pay off her student loans. She then found a permanent job and rented an apartment with two others. The lease came up and everyone went their own way. Now she is back with us, commuting to work and saving up to buy her own place. If a young adult is smart, and his/her parents supportive, having kids live at home until they can truly stand on their own two feet is a good way to go. Isn't that what a family is for?
