Ex-premier of Kazakhstan visits NW China

Sergei Terechshenko, the former prime minister?of Kazakhstan visited Xi'an, the capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi province on Sept 21, 2011.
The former prime minister?paid a visit to Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area, located at the junction of Xi'an and Xianyang cities, on Wednesday.
During the visit, Terechshenko said that China and Kazakhstan share a broad relationship in economic and trade areas. He hopes that more professionals of Kazakhstan will come to the new development area to work or start their own businesses.
Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area covers 882 square kilometers, 272 square kilometers of which are to be used as a site for construction. The area will be developed into an urban city, which will have convenient transportation, a beautiful town centre and urban agriculture. The development of Xi'an-Xianyang's new development area will become a new model for urban development in China.
