[April 20, 2014, Beijing] At the 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2014), which opened today, Volkswagen brand, along with Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen and Volkswagen Import, showcased a high-profile 37-model fleet. In Hall E5 of the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue), the Volkswagen fleet showcases the blue future of technology, integrating technology and life closely and featuring innovation, environmental-friendliness and sustainable development.

“Volkswagen Group China has delivered 20 million cars to Chinese customers in the last 30 years. And we had a good start from January to March this year,” said Prof. Dr. Jochem Heizmann, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen as well as President and CEO of Volkswagen Group China. “The Group delivered 880,700 vehicles to customers, realizing a growth of 14.5 percent over the same period last year. With a total 682,700 units delivered, Volkswagen brand alone experienced solid growth of over 14.1 percent. We offer our customers a broad range of diversified brands and high-quality products. While continuously implementing our “people-oriented” strategy, Volkswagen will help create a more innovative, sustainable and harmonious automotive society for people.”

At its 3,902-sqm booth at Auto China 2014, Volkswagen presents five premieres –the world premiere of the New Touareg, Golf R 400 concept, New Midsize Coupé, Golf China Concept and the Asian premiere of the T-ROC– which demonstrate Volkswagen’s innovative spirit of exploring the future.
