A representative of Liangjiang New Area has confirmed that Liangjiang will focus on logistics, commerce and new service industries, trying to build up a modern service base, including a cross-border e-commerce industrial park with 300 billion yuan turnover, a central economic base with a 100 billion yuan turnover and an exhibition center with revenue of 40 billion yuan($ 6.43).

Liangjiang will build up a logistics zone center upstream of Changjiang River, where transport, air services and railways will generate business for the port. And depending on modern manufacture bases for electronics, cars and equipment, three logistics districts – including Guoyaun Port, Cuntan Port and Jiangbei International Airport – will be built up.

Aiming at building up a modern commerce distributing center in the west, Liangjiang is trying to build up an import commodity trading market combined with a physical market network and electronic trading platform. Whether it's alcohol, cars, cosmetic products and other daily consumables, or biological medicines, and machines for specialized markets, all these goods can be traded. In future, the turnover will come up 100 billion yuan while total imports will amount to 10 billion dollars.

According to the plan, Liangjiang will develop online sales and trade to attract famous national e-business enterprises. Relying on bounded areas and its airport area, Liangjiang will build up its e-commerce industrial park covering an area of fifty thousand square kilometers. And a public service platform for cross-border trade will be set up, in order to test the port customs clearance, tax management, foreign exchange settlement and other matters.

In Liangjiang New Area, wide markets and specialized cooperation in new service constantly appears. For example, Yuelai Exhibition Center will bring over 40 billion yuan to related industries in the future. The total economy depending on Jiangbeizui and the Northern New District will gather over 500 famous enterprises both from home and abroad, which will accelerate the total transaction to reach more than 100 billion yuan.
