Chongqing Liangjiang's high-tech industrial parks construction goes smoothly

To further optimize functions and industrial layout, the Shuitu High-tech Industrial Park in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area is focusing on promoting five major industries including cloud computing, displays, LEDs, robotics and digital healthcare, all of which have formed a dynamic and competitive strength in the industrial park.
Through mass data integration, sharing, and cross multiplexing, the industrial park offers the business sector a large databank of intellectual resources and knowledge-based services.
In addition, other technology-intensive products, including type-capacitive touch screens applied to PCs and touch-screen laptops, widely used LED lamps and industrial robots urgently needed by the manufacturers, will be seen in markets with a label of “Made in Liangjiang” attached.
Pacific Ocean Telecom (Chongqing) Data Center
The Shuitu Cloud Computing Service Industrial Park has seen the presence of several big telecommunication carriers, including Pacific Ocean Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Telecom and Tencent.
More importantly, on-shore a data center of Pacific Ocean Telecom and the Phase I project of China Unicom have been put into operation, which will be capable of handling 40,000 servers by June, 2014. Additionally, China Mobile and China Telecom will start up their projects in September, 2014, with an estimated operation capacity of 230,000 servers.
Tencent’s data center with 300,000 servers will start construction by the end of 2014. After acquiring ICP, SP, IDC, ISP, VPN, CC and other operating licenses, the databanks of Liangjiang New Area will connect the domestic and overseas communication network.
Major Construction of BOE Project
The Shuitu Optoelectronic Display Industrial Zone has attracted up to 15 enterprises in the optoelectronic industry. Shenzhen Laibao Hi-tech Co has been put into operation, and expects to achieve 1 billion yuan ($ 160.8 million) revenue this year. BOE Technology Group Co, the leading LCD enterprise in China, is building up its main complex and will start up by the end of June, 2015.
Twelve core projects affiliated to BOE, including Shanghai Tonsail Automation Equipment Co and Wuhu Token Science Co, will start construction successively. When all these projects are completed, they will form a complete optoelectronic display industrial chain for Liangjiang New Area, valued at hundreds of billion of yuan.
