1. Inland portal setting sail

The first-stage project of Guoyuan Port was completed in November 2010. Two bulk cargo berths and a corresponding land yard were built. The second-stage and third extension project were put into use in December, 2013.

2. Attracting investors with a sound infrastructure and numerous industries

A large number of famous enterprises at home and abroad are flocking in to invest in Liangjiang New Area, including Honeywell, GE, SK, Chang’an, Thyssen Krupp, and so on. Since the establishment of Liangjiang New Area four years ago, the number of investment contracted projects has reached 1395 and the investment volume has been 591.5 billion yuan. The actual use of investment capital has exceeded 425.8 billion yuan.

3. Exploring reforms and releasing the bonus

Taking a global perspective, and using strategic concepts, Liangjiang New Area has over the past year accelerated the reform of administrative examinations and its approvals system. Matters dealing with Liangjiang New area are being handled by Liangjiang while power has been devolved to Liangjiang New area in economic development, exploitation and construction together with its fiscal system.
