The Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee announced on August 5 that it was accelerating infrastructure construction in Yufu, Longxing, and Shuitu's three industrial zones, to create a first-class investment environment and to attract more projects to get settled there.

This year, the supporting facilities in Liangjiang New Area were greatly enriched. The Administrative Committee completed an investment of four billion yuan ($ 0.6 billion); paved 620 hectares of roads; constructed 20 kilometers of roads and built 800,000 square-meters of buildings. The well-equipped facilities attracted the attention of many investors.

From January to June this year, 20 new projects were signed with a total investment amount of nine billion yuan. 18 projects kicked off and 12 projects have come into operation.

An official in charge o Liangjiang New Area's Industrial Development Zone said that in the second half, the three industrial zones aimed to build 60 km roads, sign 60 projects, and achieve an output value of 24 billion yuan.

To be specific, they will accelerate the construction of Deshun Road, the south line of Airport Road and ensure Yihengxian Road, Shentang Road, and Qingxi River Bridge open to traffic on time.

The Administrative Committee will also speed up the sewage pipe network construction of the China-ROK Industrial Park, and ensure that projects such as Fusheng 220KV, Yuzui Water Plant, Guoyuan Sewage Treatment Plant (Phase I) are brought into use. It also aims to complete 2.2 billion square meters of public rental housing and set up management centers in seven districts to gradually improve the management and services. Yuzui Middle School, Yuzui Court, and Feima Primary School are also on the key projects list.

The committee also made the commitment that they will ensure the Yuzui Middle School, Shuitu First Class Firehouse, and Shuitu Nursing House to be completed and put into use soon.

Meanwhile, the Liangjiang New Area Industrial Development Zone will speed up the constructing of19 key projects including the China Telecom, and Tencent Data Center projects.

The Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee will also make efforts to boost eight projects including Anshan Iron and Steel Group, BOE, Yaoyou Pharmacy, and Shangtong to get them operational. In addition, the Civil Aviation Flight University is expected to open to students soon.
