The C6402 high-speed train, the first public service on the 245-km stretch of railway between Chongqing North Station and Wanzhou city, departed the station for the first time on Nov 28, 2016. Designed for a speed of around 250 km per hour, the travelling time between Chongqing and Wanzhou, where China’s Three Gorges reservoirs are located, will be cut from four hours to 90 minutes.
