International forum on new energy vehicles launches in Liangjiang

As an emerging technology, the development of new energy vehicles plays an important part in environmental protection. An international forum on new energy vehicles was held in Liangjiang new district July 19 to discuss key technology in the new energy vehicle sector.
The forum lasted for two days with 18 experts from universities, research institutions and automobile manufacturers sharing with audience members the latest findings in the new energy vehicle industry.

The forum closely analyzed new energy vehicle models and provided signposts for the future development of the industry.
At the opening ceremony of the forum China Automotive Engineering Research Institute signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Big Data Alliance of New Energy Vehicle (NDANEV) to cooperate on the adaption of big data in new energy vehicle technology innovation.

As a leading company in Liangjiang New Area, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute is an important base and technology support institution for China's automobile industry.
Relying on such institutions, Liangjiang utilizes big data and intelligent technology in the transformation and upgrading of its automobile industry, and has attracted eight whole-vehicle manufacturers and 200 core component manufacturers.
Currently Liangjiang has a capacity of 3.7 billion whole vehicles, 1 billion transmissions and 4.5 billion engines. It aims to realize output value of 350 billion yuan ($51.6 billion) by 2020.
