China Eastern Airlines begins Pass-Through Project
The General Administration of Customs has officially approved the Pass-Through Project of China Eastern Airlines. Passengers of China Eastern Airlines traveling to domestic cities from overseas via Shanghai or traveling overseas from domestic cities via Shanghai can receive both boarding passes for their domestic and international flights at the departure airport. In addition, passengers can check baggage directly to the destination airport.
The Pass-Through Project is a new transfer program to develop aviation hub construction and enhance convenience. Passengers choosing pass-through flights can check in and finish all transfer procedures at the departure airport and pick up checked baggage at the destination airport. This transfer pattern represents the development trend of large aviation hubs.
