Exhibition

Veteran artistWuWeibo's solo exhibition of calligraphic art is open until Sept 21 at the Art Gallery of Peking University Centenary Auditorium.

The exhibition presents more than 60 of his latest works inspired by such traditional arts as root carving and paper cutting. Some of the calligraphic scrolls on display were auctioned off for 5.6 million yuan early this month in Haikou, capital of Hainan province. Wu has donated the sum to help construct tourism sites in Baoting Li and Miao Ethnic Minority county, one of the poorest counties on the island.
